    On the 1st January 2005 the government introduced new rules on carrying out electrical work in domestic properties. The Building Regulations are managed by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG). Part P is an amendment of the Building Regulations introduced by the government.

    If you are already a practising electrician and require further training or qualifications updating we are pleased to be of service to you as we at RF Training offer two Part P courses to make sure anyone who carries out trade work understands the changes that have been made and train them to be competent to do the tasks.

    Part P Define Scope

    The defined scope Part P award is designed to prove competence for plumbers and other associated trades on electrical work they may carry out. The course consists of four days training and one day assessment. The assessments are both practical and theory question papers.

    The course is designed for those who have worked as plumbers, gas fitters, heating engineers, kitchen fitters and burglar alarm fitters.

    It is highly recommended to get yourself involved in this Part P electrical course as it gives you the Compliance with Building Regulation Part P qualification.

    Part P Full Scope Electrical Training

    The Part P Full Scope Course is aimed at those whose main role is to undertake maintenance and full installation work on domestic electrical installations which may involve complete re-wires the changing of consumer units or installation of complete ring mains.

    The Part P electrical course consists of 4 days, which is both theory and practical that is followed by an additional one day of assessments. The assessments are both practical ‘hands on tasks’ and theory question papers.

    Successful completion of the course will give you the Logic Part P Full Scope Level A Award.

    Part P courses are very important for those who would like to update their knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of the building regulations.
