BPEC/Logic Water Supply Regulations 1999 Course
The Logic Water Supply Regulations 1999 course is aimed at plumbers and associated trades who are involved with the installation, design or specification of water systems or with buildings containing water systems. If you install or maintain water systems and fittings that are connected to the public water supply, it is essential that you are fully briefed on the Water Supply Regulations 1999 and how they affect you.
The course will introduce the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 which were brought into effect in July 1999 to replace local water bye laws in England and Wales. The Water Supply Regulations 1999 were made under section 74 of the Water Industry Act to prevent the waste, misuse, undue consumption, contamination or erroneous measurement of drinking water. Requirements for the design, installation and maintenance of plumbing systems and water fittings are set by the Water Supply Regulations 1999. The water companies enforce the Water Supply Regulations 1999 in their respective areas of supply.
The course provides full training to prove competence with the Water Supply Regulations 1999. This is essential as all water systems and fittings in premises that are, or will be, connected to the public water supply must comply with the Water Supply Regulations 1999.
