Solar PV Training Course – Outline

The course focuses on the legislative, risk assessment and working at height requirements needed to register on the Micro-generation certification scheme. Typically an experienced roofer will install the array but will require an electrician to connect them to the system. As such this course is not intended to cover roof access work in detail.

The course will cover a number of topics over the three days including:

Background to the market and grant funding routes (including MCS)
Regulations and standards
Health & safety considerations
AC & DC theory
Cell types and benefits
External and internal site survey requirements
Circuit design
System design and integration
Setting to work and commissioning
Servicing and fault finding

Solar PV Training – Qualifications

The Solar PV course is part of the Logic certification scheme. Once you have completed your course you will gain the Logic Solar Photovoltaic Certificate, which will allow you to apply for registration on the Micro-generation Certification Scheme
