Part P Qualification – Defined Scope Electrical Course

The defined scope Part P qualification is designed to prove competence for plumbers and other associated trades on electrical work they may carry out.

The Part P Qualification consists of four days training and one day assessment. This Part P Qualification allows you to self certify your own work resulting in less time and money spent on getting any electrical work signed off.

Upon completion of the Part P Qualification you will be able (together with Wiring Regulations) to support your application for registration for the competent person scheme (provider’s include NICEIC, CORGI, ECA).

Some of the work covered in the Part P qualification includes:

Replacement or installation of immersion heater and controls.
Replacement and installation of an electric shower or shower pump.
Installation or replacement of macerator units.
Earth bonding requirements in bathrooms, shower rooms or kitchens.
Central Heating controls.
Extension of ring mains.
