17th Edition Courses – Electrical Wiring Regulations Update

The 17th Edition of the Electrical Wiring Regulations was introduced into the Building Regulations in January 2008.

If you gained you’re wiring qualifications prior to that date then in order to keep working to the legal standard you may need to consider an update with one of our 17th edition courses.

If you do not hold the 16th Edition wiring qualification you will not be suitable for the 17th edition courses update. We do, however, offer full 17th Edition Training.

Aimed at:	City and Guilds 2382-20 is aimed at anyone involved within the electrical industry or requiring a good working knowledge of BS 7671, who has already achieved the City & Guilds 16th Edition 2381 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671: June 2001)

17th Edition Courses Update – Outline

The 17th edition courses aim to update candidates upon the significant differences from the 16th edition.

There are eight units making up the 17th edition courses which include:

Selection and erection of equipment
Inspection and testing
Special installations or locations
Appendices

n.b. These 17th Edition courses only cover parts of the above topics that have changed which will be taught and assessed.

At the end of the 17th Edition courses there will be a 30 question multiple choice exam.

You are required to bring a current copy of BS7671:2008 (Red book) and a copy of the On Site Guide with you for use on the 17th Edition courses.
